The outdoor Cailler chocolate game
A pioneer in the fields
Eight stop: Route des Ages
Alexandre Cailler:
I have always enjoyed this last part of my walk through the fields, among the cows from the neighboring farms, my dear Decoppet. With all these new things I’ve introduced you to, it’s like going back to nature. I see it like this: modernity should not make us lose touch with the essence of life: our roots! We co-exist so closely with nature here in Switzerland, and in Broc, that we need to do whatever we can to preserve it. Nature is our heritage, it is our wealth. Our dairy farmers deliver the milk directly from their cows so we can make our chocolate and we need them as much as they need us. Besides, we insist upon the finest ingredients to make our products.
Good cocoa beans, sugar, milk from our meadows, hazelnuts, almonds: that’s the secret to our success: qua-li-ty!
And it’s thanks to this uncompromising quality that our products sell so well. And also thanks to our ingenuity! Take our famous Cailler Branche, for example: its crunch comes from slivers of hazelnuts and almonds that we don’t let lose, as you can imagine!
