The outdoor Cailler chocolate game
A pioneer in the fields
First stop : In the locomotive
The narrator:
Ah! The time travel machine has stopped at Wednesday, July 31th, 1912, at exactly 9 in the morning. At that time Alexandre Cailler was 46 years old. He just climbed into the shiny new locomotive, with his guest of honor, the recently elected Federal Councilor Camille Decoppet, whom he is intending to take to the factory and its surroundings for a visit.
Alexandre Cailler:
What a pleasure to welcome you here today, my dear Federal Councilor! I am so happy to be able to show you my factory and some of the many innovations we have developed. Let’s start with the railway, and this particular locomotive. We have some visitors from the 21st century with us, but pay no attention to them: they are bound to follow us with interest!
I had been waiting for so long for this track from Bulle to Broc… The railway, that’s progress, isn’t it? Today, everyone says so, but I have spent the last 10 years fighting for this section to be built. The railway, now that’s progress!
(Aside)
Who? Early this morning, did you say? But this is wonderful news: Albert has just become a father! Well, well. Then he should have the day off! (After a pause) Uh, is something worrying you? What? You can’t find the combination to the safe? Well, that’s an issue! How on earth are we going to pay the 1,600 employees today?
We are going to find a solution to that on the way there. Perhaps with the help of our visitors.
Narrator:
This is the problem you need to solve: help Alexandre Cailler find the combination to the safe, consisting of letters and numbers, so he can pay his staff before the end of the day.
In the safe you will also find your reward.
Our visit continues, in the direction of the visitor car park.
